Job Summary

Own UNIX/Linux server administration and cloud operations across on-prem and hybrid environments, including OS maintenance, patching, monitoring, incident resolution, and system tuning. Lead AWS-focused work such as configuring VPC networking, backups, security, identity/access (SSO), and troubleshooting production issues. Support end-to-end AWS cloud migrations and enhance reliability, availability, and performance using automation and scripting.

Key Responsibilities

•Install, customize, and maintain UNIX-LINUX server operating systems and system software across on-premise and cloud environments.
•Evaluate and integrate OS versions, drivers, and hardware; provide diagnosis for software/hardware failures and develop solutions.
•Monitor and tune systems for performance in standalone and multi-tier environments; conduct system analysis and configuration management to improve reliability and availability.
•Implement system security, perform security patching, remediate vulnerabilities, and handle incident resolution and root cause analysis in line with service levels (ITIL).
•Support cloud/hybrid operations including VPC security configuration, identity/access (SSO) setup, monitoring integrations, and end-to-end migrations and consolidations.

Key Requirements

•8 to 10 years of experience as a Linux/Unix System Administrator, with expertise in at least two Unix flavors (Linux required).
•Deep understanding of Linux OS and ability to handle day-to-day administration tasks.
•Strong shell scripting experience.
•Expertise in AWS Cloud administration, including hands-on troubleshooting of services such as EC2, RDS, backups, storage (EBS, EFS, S3, Glacier), and security practices.
•Experience with end-to-end cloud migrations and hybrid cloud environments, including networking concepts for secure VPC setup.
