Key Responsibilities

  • •Partner with engineers, research scientists, technical program managers, and product managers to deliver AI-powered products for associates and customers.
  • •Design, develop, test, deploy, and support AI software components spanning foundation-model training, LLM inference, agents/multi-agent workflows, similarity search, guardrails, evaluation, experimentation, governance, and observability.
  • •Leverage Open Source and SaaS AI technologies such as AWS Ultraclusters, Hugging Face, VectorDBs, and PyTorch to build production systems.
  • •Invent and apply foundation model optimization techniques to improve scalability, cost, latency, and throughput for large-scale AI systems.
  • •Set enterprise-wide AI architecture direction and own design/integration of model routing, caching, and orchestration systems while championing responsible AI principles.

Pay and Benefits

Salary: USD 244,700 - 279,200 annually

Key Requirements

  • •Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, AI, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related fields plus 8+ years developing AI/ML algorithms or technologies, or a Master's degree plus 6+ years developing AI/ML algorithms or technologies.
  • •At least 8 years of experience programming with Python, Go, Scala, CUDA, or Java.
  • •Experience designing AI systems with tradeoffs around cost, latency, throughput, and accuracy.
  • •8+ years deploying scalable and responsible AI solutions on cloud platforms such as AWS, Google Cloud, Azure, or equivalent private cloud.
  • •Experience architecting and delivering complex AI systems, including LLM inference, similarity search and VectorDBs, guardrails, and memory, using Python and other languages like C++, C#, Java, CUDA, or Golang.
