Key Responsibilities

  • •Drive machines and trucks to transport equipment and materials to and from job sites.
  • •Control paving machines to maintain constant flow of asphalt or other material into hoppers or screeds.
  • •Set up forms and lay out guidelines for curbs, including cutting/breaking pavement and installing curbing and joint materials.
  • •Operate asphalt paving equipment (e.g., asphalt paver, screed, rollers, broom, skid steer) and perform minor servicing/maintenance.
  • •Inspect and maintain equipment, coordinate truck dumping, shovel blacktop, control traffic, and set up/tear down equipment.
