Key Responsibilities

  • •Oversee payroll accounting close processes (month-end, quarter-end, year-end), including reviewing and approving complex journal entries, accruals, and balance sheet reconciliations.
  • •Perform monthly payroll flux analysis and communicate drivers behind period-over-period movements to leadership and cross-functional stakeholders.
  • •Lead payroll accounting across global entities, ensuring accurate accounting treatment, local compliance, and timely close for high-complexity jurisdictions.
  • •Manage complex reconciliations, including multi-currency ledger reconciliations, FX gain/loss adjustments, and intercompany cross-charges.
  • •Drive AI and automation adoption across payroll accounting (e.g., AI-assisted reconciliation and automated variance detection) and hire, train, mentor, and manage a team of payroll accountants.

Key Requirements

  • •BA/BS degree focused in Economics, Business Administration, Accounting, or Finance.
  • •12+ years progressive accounting experience, including 5+ years in payroll accounting and 2+ years in a supervisory/management role within a US multinational framework.
  • •Chartered Accountant (CA) or CPA equivalent certification is required; CPP is strongly preferred.
  • •Strong equity compensation accounting experience (RSUs, stock options, ESPP), including tax treatment and GL reconciliation.
  • •Deep understanding of US GAAP, multi-jurisdiction payroll tax laws, SOX compliance, and experience with cloud-based systems (e.g., SAP, Workday, Payslip).
