Job Summary

Lead shift production operations and drive production excellence while ensuring quality and safety standards across your plant or assigned area. Manage and develop salaried and hourly production group leaders, tracking performance metrics, controlling labor/material/indirect costs, and implementing cost-saving and automation improvement projects. Take ownership of workplace safety and ergonomics, and maintain HACCP/SSOP compliance by addressing failures and foreign material issues. Step in for key personnel to keep operations running efficiently.

Key Responsibilities

•Oversee all shift production operations and direct production group leaders to ensure smooth, efficient processes.
•Foster strong employee relations by providing training, counseling, and recognition to support development, morale, and alignment with operational goals.
•Track labor, material, and indirect costs to stay within budget while improving yields and operational efficiencies.
•Implement and maintain safety and ergonomic programs, including training employees, enforcing safety rules, identifying hazards, and reducing injuries.
•Maintain quality and compliance by ensuring processes align with HACCP and SSOP, addressing product failures/foreign material issues, and ensuring CCPs and the HACCP plan are followed.

Key Requirements

•Bachelor’s degree from an accredited four-year college or university and 5+ years of relevant experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
•2+ years of demonstrated experience in team management/development or project leadership.
•Experience using computer applications including time-keeping systems, SAP, and Microsoft Office.
•Ability to work nights, weekends, and flexible hours as needed to meet operational demands.
•Open to travel up to 10% of the time.
