Job Summary

Lead chargeback operations for cardholder disputes, including reporting fraudulent/counterfeit transactions to Visa/MasterCard and ensuring adherence to Visa/MasterCard/CBUAE and bank operational procedures. Oversee reconciliation of chargeback and Forex settlement accounts, validate settlements and billing vouchers, manage MIS reporting, and drive departmental processing and compliance with regulatory frameworks. Support system/process enhancements during user acceptance testing and advise stakeholders on technology use to maximize straight-through processing.

Key Responsibilities

•Manage cardholder disputes and report fraudulent and counterfeit transactions to MasterCard/Visa International in line with required timelines.
•Oversee departmental adherence to Visa/MasterCard/CBUAE guidelines and bank operational procedures, including reconciliation of chargeback accounts.
•Manage preparation and issue of letters to cardholders with final dispute and chargeback investigation outcomes.
•Oversee timely reconciliation of Forex settlement accounts and relevant chargeback GL accounts; validate settlements and billing vouchers and prepare GL entries.
•Maintain MIS and oversee departmental processing and reporting to ensure compliance; oversee credit completions and process SR closures for dispute-related queries.

Key Requirements

•Excellent communication skills.
•Sound understanding of card processes and procedures and business awareness.
