Key Responsibilities

  • •Receive work orders/requests and determine tools, equipment, time, manpower, parts, and supplies needed.
  • •Respond to crisis calls on-site with necessary tools and equipment to perform repairs.
  • •Read and use blueprints, schematics (including electrical), wiring diagrams, and technical manuals to guide work.
  • •Diagnose malfunctions by observing equipment in operation; disassemble equipment, replace faulty/worn parts, and test major subsystems/components.
  • •Perform preventive and predictive maintenance, including installing new equipment and utilities, and maintain activity records and logs.

Key Requirements

  • •High school diploma or GED and 1+ years of related experience/training in industrial mechanical maintenance or food manufacturing maintenance, or 4 years of direct experience.
  • •Ability to troubleshoot, repair, and maintain mechanical equipment in an industrial/food processing environment.
  • •Read blueprints, schematics (including electrical), wiring diagrams, and technical manuals; follow oral and written instructions.
  • •Ability to operate a forklift, genie lift, scissor lift, or other powered industrial trucks (PIT).
  • •Ability to function effectively in a team environment and interact productively with team personnel and outside contractors.
