Job Summary

Build and maintain software that connects AI model lifecycle management with Kubernetes-based edge orchestration. You’ll develop Kubernetes controllers, operators, and CRDs to schedule and deploy AI workloads at the edge, working with ONNX/GenAI/ML models and production pipelines. Using AI coding agents and tools, you’ll iterate quickly on clean code, collaborate across AI, infrastructure, and product teams, and contribute to ZEDEDA’s open-source ecosystem.

Key Responsibilities

•Design, develop, and maintain software components that bridge AI model lifecycle management with Kubernetes-based edge orchestration.
•Build and extend Kubernetes controllers, operators, and CRDs to support AI workload scheduling and deployment at the edge.
•Integrate ONNX, GenAI, and ML models into production-ready pipelines and edge environments.
•Write clean code, submit pull requests, participate in design discussions, and iterate rapidly based on feedback.
•Contribute to open-source components, write Helm charts for Kubernetes deployment, and collaborate across AI, infrastructure, and product teams to ship features end-to-end.

Pay and Benefits

Salary: USD 120,000 - 140,000 annually

Key Requirements

•Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, AI/ML, or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
•Foundational machine learning knowledge including neural networks, deep learning, model training/inference, and attention mechanisms (transformers).
•Familiarity with ONNX and GenAI model architectures, including frameworks such as PyTorch or TensorFlow.
•Practical exposure to Kubernetes (pods, deployments, services, namespaces, and controllers), with familiarity with k3s as a plus.
•Comfort with Git-based workflows and collaborating in a version-controlled environment, plus basic Linux/shell scripting.
