Job Summary

Own end-to-end data quality and coverage for dirty petroleum products (DPP) markets across key flows and geographies. Lead complex investigations to identify root causes of discrepancies, improve methodologies, and drive large-scale validation, ingestion, and backtesting against benchmarks. Serve as a data and market focal point, collaborate with Product, Engineering, and Commercial teams, and mentor junior analysts to raise team capability.

Key Responsibilities

•Own end-to-end data quality and coverage for assigned DPP markets, flows, and geographies.
•Lead complex data investigations to identify root causes of discrepancies and implement structural fixes.
•Perform and oversee large-scale data validation, ingestion, and backtesting against external benchmarks.
•Act as a Data Ops focal point for DPP, working with Data Scraping, Product, and Engineering teams.
•Support cross-product alignment, mentor junior analysts, and engage with Sales/CS to turn client feedback into improvements.

Key Requirements

•Bachelor’s degree in Economics, Engineering, Energy, Data Science, or related field.
•3+ years of experience in oil markets, with strong crude or refined oil products exposure.
•Strong understanding of global trade flows, shipping, and refinery dynamics.
•Proven experience working with large, complex datasets and driving data quality improvements.
•Advanced data handling skills including Excel (Advanced), SQL (Intermediate), and Python (Basic to intermediate).
