Key Responsibilities

  • •Support the Unit Manager to ensure safe, positive client experience by mitigating clinical risks and coordinating care delivery.
  • •Provide comprehensive, safe patient care that meets set clinical quality standards.
  • •Manage the client experience and ensure optimal staffing resources (supply, retention, and utilisation).
  • •Empower and build staff competence through continuous assessment and development, including mentorship for new and student nurses.
  • •Assist with effective operational expense management, including stock and capital.

Key Requirements

  • •Professional Nurse qualification and a Postgraduate Diploma in Nursing (for managing a specialist unit).
  • •3 years’ Professional Nurse experience in a hospital.
  • •1 year mentor experience.
  • •Computer literate (Microsoft Office) and competent in nursing record keeping.
  • •Knowledge of relevant nursing legislation, infection prevention and control, and nursing processes/procedures.
