Key Responsibilities

  • •Act as the technical interface between the customer, management, and the implementation team to conduct systems analysis for function, performance, and interface requirements meeting system safety parameters.
  • •Engage in system design activities, including trade studies, to ensure system safety artefacts are compatible with the baselined product across subsystems.
  • •Perform technical risk analysis to support development and review of hazard logs, safety case arguments, and risk mitigation actions.
  • •Lead planning, coordination, and conduct of system safety working groups while acting as a key spokesperson for system safety considerations.
  • •Provide technical mentoring and/or leadership by guiding other team members on system safety engineering methodology and processes.

Key Requirements

  • •Hold a tertiary qualification in a relevant engineering discipline (e.g., electrical, electronic, structural or mechanical) and have professional development sufficient to attain recognition as CPEng.
  • •Have experience in engineering practices including requirements definition, management, analysis, design, and verification/validation.
  • •Be able to effectively represent engineering professional services to internal and external customers.
  • •Understand and apply systems safety engineering methodology, tools, and procedures to complete assigned tasks.
  • •Be available to travel when required.
