Key Responsibilities

  • •Build and optimize authentication standards and protocols such as OAuth 2.0, OIDC, SCIM, and SAML.
  • •Develop secure, reliable, scalable IAM platform components.
  • •Research and implement areas including role engineering and session management to meet cross-functional AuthN and AuthZ needs.
  • •Develop IAM-related APIs and products with cross-functional partners, and help architect solutions across squads.
  • •Design and build internal tooling to ease the development and maintenance of the IAM platform, including identity framework work for postman.ai.

Key Requirements

  • •5+ years building complex backend or distributed systems at scale.
  • •Proficiency with JavaScript and Node.js, with a good understanding of web fundamentals.
  • •Experience with database fundamentals, including query optimization, schema design, indexing, and caching.
  • •Proven record of building products from scratch.
  • •Bonus: strong understanding of auth products, protocols, and methods such as OAuth, SAML, and OIDC.
