Key Responsibilities

  • •Manage procurement transactions by drafting and negotiating agreements supporting multiple lines of business and functional groups.
  • •Identify legal issues and risks in procurement and outsourcing contracts and advise stakeholders on appropriate terms.
  • •Maintain repeatable, controlled processes for transactional work and build strong relationships with ESM and legal stakeholders.
  • •Coordinate outside counsel when needed, including managing service delivery and cost.
  • •Create reports, discuss trends/metrics with senior leaders, and provide training as needed; act as backup legal representative in procurement risk gate meetings and delegate assignments to backup attorneys as required.

  • •Juris Doctor from an accredited law school
  • •Active member in good standing of at least one state bar
  • •At least 3 years of experience as an attorney in a law firm, government agency, military judge advocate role, or in-house counsel, including third-party procurement/vendor/outsourcing transactions
