Key Responsibilities

  • •Drive and contribute to programs that provide customer solutions while delivering profitable growth, including research, applications development, materials enhancements, and cost-out initiatives.
  • •Lead stage-gate programs supporting start-ups and launches; chair technical reviews for significant and complex programs and ensure technical rigor within the process.
  • •Independently plan, execute, and analyze production trials using Design of Experiments, Lean, and statistical analysis.
  • •Leverage customer and market insights to identify trends and emergent technologies, influence business direction, and partner on business cases for new market spaces or technologies.
  • •Mentor across and within functions, collaborate with Engineering, Operations, and Quality to resolve technical challenges, and contribute to IP protection through information management.

Key Requirements

  • •Undergraduate degree required in Chemical Engineering, Materials Science, Polymer Science, or a related area; PhD or graduate degree strongly preferred.
  • •15+ years of experience with progressive success in a technical capacity within a global manufacturing environment.
  • •Demonstrated ability to leverage design choices to improve market position with a longer-term perspective.
  • •Expertise in multiple technologies/processes and the ability to implement platform solutions using structured tools and methodologies.
  • •Experience with technical customer relationship management and the ability to scale-up alongside customer growth.
