Key Responsibilities

  • •Design and deliver safe, reliable modern rail electrification OCS systems for projects serving millions of riders.
  • •Perform advanced technical calculations (mechanical loading, support spacing, clearance verification) and use study results to guide engineering decisions and code compliance.
  • •Collaborate with civil, structural, systems, and operations teams to ensure OCS elements integrate with broader rail infrastructure.
  • •Prepare detailed OCS design drawings (plan/profile, cross-sections, support arrangements) and develop specifications, BOQs, and installation drawings.
  • •Support installation, testing, commissioning, and validate drawings, calculations, specifications, and compliance reports for accuracy and regulatory adherence.

Key Requirements

  • •Bachelor’s degree in engineering (electrical preferred).
  • •Licensed Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) in Ontario or eligible for licensure.
  • •Minimum of 10 years of progressive experience in rail or transit projects specializing in OCS/railway electrification.
  • •Deep expertise in OCS design principles and standards including AREMA, CSA, and EN, plus rail safety frameworks.
  • •Proficiency in MicroStation and OCS-related software, with experience leading complex design packages across disciplines.
