Job Summary

Plan, manage, and deliver qualification test campaigns for in-house and third-party equipment within the Environmental test lab. Run and monitor environmental, EMC, lightning, and nuclear-hardening tests to military and civil standards, compile test procedures and reports, and generate estimates to support new business. Lead responsibility for qualification work packages and cost risks, design and manufacture EMC test harnesses, and provide technical support to customers while overseeing junior personnel.

Key Responsibilities

•Plan, manage, and deliver comprehensive qualification test campaigns for in-house and third-party equipment.
•Take responsibility for qualification work packages, including cost risks and opportunities.
•Compile test procedures aligned to standards and customer requirements.
•Monitor and report product performance while running environmental, EMC, lightning, and nuclear-hardening tests to military and civil standards.
•Write technical test reports, provide customer technical support, generate estimates for new business, and oversee junior personnel while designing and manufacturing EMC test harnesses.

Pay and Benefits

Salary: GBP 50,000 annually

Key Requirements

•Extensive experience applying EMC and environmental standards, particularly MIL-STD, RTCA DO-160, and DEF-STAN.
•Strong knowledge across test environments (EMC/lightning, vibration, shock, temperature, altitude, humidity, acceleration, and explosive atmosphere).
•Experience generating technical test procedures and producing technical test reports.
•Previous responsibility for qualification work packages, including managing technical scope and delivery.
•Design and qualification experience working with EMC test harnesses and supporting product qualification testing to relevant standards.
