Key Responsibilities

  • •Perform material and device research to improve perovskite film quality across band gaps, solar cell performance and stability, and reduce instability factors during fabrication and post-PK steps.
  • •Design and optimize scalable synthetic routes for high-quality perovskite materials using synthesis techniques suited to scalability.
  • •Prototype solar cell devices and perform electrical and photophysical characterization.
  • •Plan, execute, and characterize development engineering experiments in a laboratory environment using statistical and engineering methods.
  • •Mentor or manage junior associates when applicable; collaborate with internal and external partners and support cross-functional projects and ownership of sub-deliverables.

Salary: USD 109,460 - 165,000 annually

Key Requirements

  • •Associate’s degree (or similar technical discipline) with 20 years of relevant technical experience, or 2 years as a Development Engineer II at First Solar.
  • •Bachelor’s degree in an engineering/technical discipline with 10 years of relevant technical experience, or 2 years as a Development Engineer II at First Solar.
  • •Master’s degree in an engineering/technical discipline with 8 years of relevant technical experience, or 2 years as a Development Engineer II at First Solar.
  • •Ph.D. in an engineering/technical discipline with 5 years of relevant technical experience, or 2 years as a Development Engineer II at First Solar.
  • •Expertise in scalable solution-based perovskite fabrication (e.g., spray/slot-die/blade coat/inkjet) plus knowledge of ink formulation, thin film processes, and reliability/accelerated testing.
