Job Summary

Operate and supervise container loading/unloading operations at the port, ensuring safe, timely transfers. Responsible for running yard machinery (Terberg, mafi, Kalmar) during shifts, coordinating with the planning unit via VMT, and adhering to health, safety and environmental guidelines. Reports equipment issues to maintenance and communicates effectively via radio while maintaining secure, efficient vessel and yard operations.

•Load and unload all container transfers safely and on time.
•Operate and use the machinery until handover of shift;
•Move containers and guide their repositioning as required;
•Conduct safety checks on equipment before operation and report faults to maintenance;
•Use radio communications to coordinate activities and ensure timely deliveries;

Key Requirements

•High school or vocational school graduate;
•Have a B license (driver's license);
•Able to work in a team and independently as an active team member;
•Quick learner with good visual and auditory health standards;
•Experience with yard vehicles such as Terberg, mafi or Kalmar and knowledge of port layout and rules
