Key Responsibilities

  • •Own Kubernetes and cluster foundations, including service mesh, scaling, and ingress that teams can confidently deploy to
  • •Design geo-deployment architecture for replicable, robust multi-region deployments across cloud regions/providers
  • •Build edge and security infrastructure at the network edge to protect against abuse, manage rate limiting, and optimize traffic routing
  • •Own cost management and optimization, building attribution systems and balancing cost vs. reliability across cloud spend
  • •Unify the compute platform by defining a single container orchestration strategy for consistent deployments

Key Requirements

  • •Deep experience with AWS or comparable cloud providers, especially VPC networking, EKS/K8s, and IAM/account management
  • •Built and operated production Kubernetes clusters at scale, including service mesh, autoscaling, and multi-region deployments
  • •Understanding of edge networking, CDN/WAF architectures, and traffic management at the infrastructure level
  • •Advocates infrastructure-as-code, reproducibility, and self-serve reliable infrastructure for other teams
  • •Experience with cost optimization at scale or infrastructure migration/unification is a plus
