Job Summary

Modernize utility distribution systems by planning, justifying, and supporting grid modernization programs including FLISR, Volt-Var Optimization, distribution resiliency, ADMS, electrification of transportation, DER solutions, and advanced planning techniques. Collaborate across disciplines and with clients, participate in standards working groups, and present at industry conferences, with some travel expected.

Key Responsibilities

•Modernize utility distribution systems by planning, justifying, and supporting distribution grid modernization programs including FLISR, Volt-Var Optimization, distribution resiliency, ADMS, electrification of transportation, DER solutions, and advanced planning techniques.
•Lead and perform engineering tasks for critical or analytical projects requiring specialized knowledge across many areas.
•Prepare technical outputs including data, visualizations, tables, charts, reports, calculations, sketches, and other illustrations for interpretation and presentation.
•Exercise technical leadership and authority on assignments, including tracking project schedules and budgets.
•Collaborate across disciplines on proposal and business development opportunities; participate in industry working groups and conferences (with some travel expected).

Key Requirements

•Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering (or equivalent experience).
•5 to 7 years of relevant post-education experience as an electrical engineer providing design deliverables for large capital projects.
•Understanding of basic to advanced engineering theories and the ability to research, evaluate alternatives, and make sound recommendations.
•Ability to work across teams and take initiative to learn new topics.
•Strong English command with demonstrated written and oral communication skills, including presenting and facilitating meetings.
