Key Responsibilities

  • •Lead the Android AOSP efforts to build a strong foundation for our Android payments application.
  • •Engage in cross-functional conversations with product management, software engineering and hardware engineering teams to ensure the best payment experience for merchants.
  • •Drive conversations with SOC vendors and terminal vendors to secure high performing components.
  • •Ensure software quality by using the latest technologies and frameworks in Android OS engineering.
  • •Coach team members to grow the team with the right skill set.

Key Requirements

  • •5+ years of experience working with the Android OS, including secure boot and Linux kernel to Java Framework integration
  • •Proficient in C/C++ with knowledge of Java and/or Kotlin; experience with Git, Repo, Gerrit, GitHub; and Android command line tools such as adb and fastboot
  • •Experience modifying AOSP for domain-specific features and implementing HAL interfaces (HIDL/AIDL) to bridge hardware with the Android Framework
  • •Experience navigating multi-party development lifecycles, including Google communication channels and compliance tools (VTS/CTS/STS)
  • •Experience debugging issues within the Android Framework and Linux Kernel
