Key Responsibilities

  • •Partner with hardware, RF/antenna, firmware/software, product security, and compliance teams to develop regulatory strategies and support EMC/RF validation.
  • •Work with external test laboratories to ensure products are certification-ready and meet global regulatory requirements.
  • •Define EMC and RF regulatory requirements for global markets (FCC, CE, IC, RED, MIC).
  • •Develop compliance strategies early in the product lifecycle to minimize certification risk, including review of schematics and recommendations for filtering, shielding, grounding, and ESD protection.
  • •Plan and complete pre-compliance testing (radiated/conducted emissions, surge, ESD, EFT/B, radiated/conducted immunity) and build EMC test setups; configure traffic generators and coordinate JDM partners for EMC/RF test planning and PCB layout guidance.

Key Requirements

  • •Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering/electronics engineering/RF engineering (or related) with 7+ years; or master’s with 4+ years; or PhD with 1+ year.
  • •Experience with RF regulatory test requirements such as DFS, Adaptivity, Receiver Blocking, and AFC.
  • •Experience with EMC compliance requirements and test methods including radiated/conducted emissions and immunity testing.
  • •Experience configuring test modes and monitoring RF performance degradation for Wi‑Fi and other intentional radiator devices.
  • •Experience using spectrum analyzers, EMI receivers, VNA, signal generators, oscilloscopes, near-field probes, LISNs, and RF power meters.
