Key Responsibilities

  • •Develop and maintain standardized technical curriculum for employees across Machining & Quality competencies at the Pratt & Whitney Asheville site.
  • •Partner with engineering, quality assurance, and operations stakeholders to develop, maintain, and deploy training programs.
  • •Implement and support a Learning Management System for site departments and deliver training via multiple formats (in person, online, self-directed).
  • •Assess technical proficiencies for hourly employees and facilitate transferable training programs; coordinate onboarding with Asheville-Buncombe Technical Community College and site operations and quality teams.
  • •Partner with third-party vendors to train on new/existing equipment and establish standard work and best practices; drive training status updates and continuous improvement, and maintain training documentation records.

Key Requirements

  • •Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience with a minimum 12 years of prior relevant experience, or an Advanced Degree in a related field with a minimum 10 years experience.
  • •Onsite work schedule; willingness to support pre- and post-shift training, weekend, and other alternate schedules as needed.
  • •U.S. citizenship is required, since only U.S. citizens are authorized to access information under this program/contract.
  • •3+ years of experience in technical training, including Train-the-Trainer certification.
  • •Demonstrated knowledge of lean principles and the ability to coordinate and complete project objectives efficiently.
