Job Summary

Provide physical security for the Joslin plant by inspecting and controlling access for people and vehicles entering or leaving the facility. Monitor walking or stationary posts, check IDs and carry-in items, and conduct preliminary investigations of accidents, thefts, workplace violence, and other incidents. Roving coverage and truck-traffic logging are required, along with valid driver’s license and ability to pass a background check.

Key Responsibilities

•Provide physical security for the facility with assignments to walking or stationary posts.
•Inspect and control persons and vehicles entering or leaving the facility.
•Check identification of visitors, vendors, contractors, and team members and allow only authorized personnel.
•Check carry-in items (bags, briefcases, toolboxes, lunchboxes, etc.) and write investigative reports.
•Conduct roving checks of plant security and log truck traffic during ingress and egress, including inspecting motor vehicles driven into the plant.

Pay and Benefits

Salary: USD 21 hourly

Key Requirements

•Prefer a high school diploma or GED (or equivalent).
•Basic computer skills.
•Must have excellent interpersonal communication skills and be able to communicate effectively under stressful situations.
•Investigative skills are helpful but not mandatory.
•Be able and willing to work in both hot and cold temperatures and work independently under supervision.
