Key Responsibilities

  • •Coordinate and assign dispatching of trucks in the yard and communicate with vendors, trucks, operations, plant crew, and supervisor.
  • •Create the daily plant schedule based on mix needs, capacity, and tonnage, and safely load trucks while processing tickets/paperwork.
  • •Safely operate and maintain the asphalt plant and construction equipment by determining material quantities, adjusting controls for temperature and flow, and monitoring production levels.
  • •Collaborate with quality control technicians to ensure asphalt meets required specifications and adjust material blends as needed; maintain logbooks and writing reports.
  • •Perform daily inspections and preventative maintenance, including general maintenance/cleanup, welding and repairs, and train/mentor new hires as needed.
