Job Summary

Oversee all legal matters for operations in Egypt, ensuring compliance with Egyptian corporate, labor, tax, consumer protection, and data privacy requirements. Provide strategic legal guidance to senior management across governance, commercial contracts, regulatory issues, and disputes. Lead and mentor the local legal team, manage relationships with external law firms and regulators, and align legal strategy with business objectives across cross-functional teams supporting talabat and instashop.

Key Responsibilities

•Provide strategic legal guidance to senior management on corporate governance, compliance, commercial contracts, regulatory matters, and litigation/disputes.
•Draft, review, and negotiate contracts to ensure alignment with Egyptian laws and company interests.
•Identify, assess, and mitigate legal risks, advising on business decisions and developing practical risk management strategies.
•Manage legal disputes, arbitrations, claims, investigations, and settlements to minimize business impact.
•Lead and mentor the local legal team; manage external law firms, consultants, and regulatory relationships.

Key Requirements

•Law degree (Bachelor’s or Master’s) and valid license to practice in Egypt.
•7+ years of experience in corporate/commercial law with proven leadership in a legal role.
•Strong knowledge of Egyptian corporate, commercial, employment, consumer protection, tax, and data privacy laws.
•Strong team leadership and mentoring capabilities.
•Excellent drafting, negotiation, problem-solving, and communication skills in both Arabic and English.
