Key Responsibilities

  • •Administer and support enterprise Oracle database environments, ensuring availability, security, integrity, performance, backup, and recovery.
  • •Install, configure, upgrade, and patch Oracle Database software and related infrastructure in highly available production and non-production environments.
  • •Establish and control database standards and conventions (schemas, tables, indexes, objects), and support security safeguards such as privileged access, encryption, and auditing.
  • •Perform daily monitoring and maintenance activities, including backups, archive/redo logs, alert logs, performance statistics, capacity management, and scheduled maintenance.
  • •Provide production support for database incidents, perform root-cause analysis, coordinate recoveries, and support disaster recovery and high-availability architectures (e.g., standby/replication/clustering as applicable).

Key Requirements

  • •Bachelor's degree or a minimum of 8 years of equivalent experience, including six years supporting production database systems.
  • •In-depth knowledge of Oracle Database 19c administration, architecture, security, performance tuning, backup/recovery, and high-availability technologies.
  • •Experience supporting Linux/Unix operating systems and enterprise storage-area networks.
  • •Advanced knowledge of Oracle database administration/programming, including SQL and PL/SQL, schema/object management, patching/upgrades, documentation/testing, performance tuning, capacity management, backup, and recovery.
  • •Oracle Certified Professional (or comparable) preferred; ITIL/service management, project management, and Six Sigma-related practices preferred.
