Key Responsibilities

  • •Manage and coordinate utility operators and the financial, personnel, and property performance of assigned locations.
  • •Implement biosecurity policies and follow safety requirements under Smithfield Injury Prevention System (SIPS).
  • •Perform sewer maintenance tasks including unplugging, cleaning, and preventive maintenance of sewer discharge lines.
  • •Use a sewer camera to identify plugged lines and report environmental issues while ensuring compliance with EMS and environmental laws.
  • •Develop and train employees, evaluate utility operator performance, and participate in emergency notification and 24-hour on-call response.

Key Requirements

  • •High school diploma or GED and 2+ years of management experience.
  • •Experience leading others through training, coaching, mentoring, or managing a process/project.
  • •Valid state driver’s license with acceptable driving record and ability to obtain/hold a Class A CDL with tanker endorsement.
  • •Ability to lift 70 lbs unassisted and work an average 45-hour week (including weekends, evenings, and holidays).
  • •Ability to perform basic math calculations for production and financial performance and to communicate verbally and in writing.
