Perform bench machining and coating-related prep and finishing for aerospace engine components on the 2nd shift. You will execute pre-coating surface prep, masking, post-coating tasks, minor repairs on coating equipment, and precision measurement to ensure parts meet quality standards, while supporting engineering to improve operations in a fast-paced onsite environment.

Key Responsibilities

•Perform pre-coating operations including surface preparation and masking.
•Perform post coating tasks such as removing parts from fixtures, removing masking, troubleshooting, and diagnosing malfunctioning equipment.
•Perform minor repairs on coating equipment where applicable.
•Check parts to meet visual and dimensional requirements using micrometers, verniers, height gauges and other fixed gauges.
•Assist engineers and others in developing new or changed operations and recommend parameter/process improvements.

Key Requirements

•0-1 years related experience, or a completed degree/certificate from a post-secondary or vocational school in a related field with 0-1+ years related experience.
•High School or GED
•Experience with metal finishing methods, spray coating/paint application, machining, grinding, and/or welding.
•Experience with computerized machine operation.
•Experience with precision measuring instruments such as feeler gauges, verniers, calipers and micrometers.
