Key Responsibilities

  • •Own the mobile tech stack decision and its rationale by running evaluations and defending the choice with engineering, product, and executive leadership.
  • •Design and build the host application foundation, including architecture, module boundaries, lifecycle, dependency injection, state management, concurrency, networking, persistence, and testing strategy.
  • •Define the contribution model for product teams, including module boundaries, public API surface, lifecycle hooks, integration patterns, version compatibility, and developer experience.
  • •Set and enforce platform performance and stability disciplines (startup time, frame rate, memory, battery, crash-free rate) with measurable budgets and gates.
  • •Lead CI/CD, signing, release and rollout pipeline, and ensure observability and logging make production issues debuggable quickly.

Key Requirements

  • •10+ years of mobile engineering experience, having built mobile applications from the ground up and shipped them to production at scale.
  • •Deep expertise in at least one of iOS or Android, and strong fluency in the other (including relevant tooling and lifecycle knowledge).
  • •Strong understanding of cross-platform options and the ability to defend stack recommendations for a fintech app at Payoneer’s scale.
  • •Experience building and operating a modular mobile platform with resilient module boundaries, versioning, and lean binaries as surface area grows.
  • •Ability to drive performance and stability using measurable dashboards and ship instrumentation beyond crash reporting.
