Key Responsibilities

  • •Provide regulatory compliance support for operations, engineering, and projects in your support area.
  • •Coordinate with state and federal regulators to facilitate DOT PHMSA/state agency inspections and conduct design reviews to ensure DOT 192/195 compliance.
  • •Complete DOT 192/195 assurance through internal audits and acquisition integration; review forms and procedures for regulatory compliance.
  • •Coordinate accident notifications to the National Response Center and complete PHMSA accident reporting.
  • •Research regulatory interpretations and DOT/state rulemaking to identify organizational impacts and update applicable procedures.

Key Requirements

  • •Bachelor’s degree in a relevant engineering field (accredited) or a bachelor’s in engineering technology plus a Professional Engineer (P.E.) license.
  • •Minimum eight (8) years of multifaceted engineering experience in the natural gas or petrochemical industry.
  • •Multiple years leading interactions (primarily inspections) with PHMSA or state pipeline safety agencies, covering 49 CFR Parts 192 and/or 195.
  • •Comprehensive understanding of regulations and ability to interpret and revise applicable company procedures as regulations change over time.
  • •Proficiency in Microsoft Office and strong PC skills.
