Job Summary

Assist experienced welders with welding and fabrication tasks under supervision. Learn and perform basic welding operations such as MIG, TIG, and arc welding, and support inspection and quality control of welds against industry standards. Help maintain welding equipment and tools, participate in safety meetings and follow safety protocols, and document welding activities while supporting the engineering team with project requirements and specifications.

Key Responsibilities

•Assist experienced welders with welding and fabrication tasks under supervision and guidance.
•Learn and perform basic welding operations, including MIG, TIG, and arc welding.
•Support inspection and quality control of welds to meet industry standards.
•Support maintenance of welding equipment and tools.
•Participate in safety meetings, follow safety protocols, document welding activities, and help prepare reports while working with the engineering team on project requirements and specifications.

Key Requirements

•Active college student in D3/D4/S1, majoring in Metallurgy, Mechanical Engineering, Welding Engineering, Materials Science and Engineering, or a related major.
•Internship placement is available at McDermott Batam.
•Applicants should not be participating in another internship program.
•Strong communication skills and ability to work in a team environment.
•Attention to detail and a willingness to follow instructions.
