Key Responsibilities

  • •Own the end-to-end hardware design process for high-power, high-density Ethernet switches used in AI networks.
  • •Create functional specifications, write complex board specifications, and produce flat/hierarchical schematic capture.
  • •Work with eCAD and CAD teams on PCB layout, footprints, stackup, and fabrication details; specify sequential lamination/HDI approaches with vendors.
  • •Run (or perform) signal integrity simulations and support power/datapath analysis; use SI/PI tools to validate designs.
  • •Support prototypes through lab bring-up and debug, coordinate with contract manufacturers from proto to production, and train/mentor teams and CM for manufacturing and yield.

Key Requirements

  • •BSEE or MSEE with 10+ years of relevant hardware engineering experience.
  • •Experience designing networking hardware, specifically 100G and 200G PAM4 Ethernet switching.
  • •Experience with high-density PCB design (20+ layer count, 50G+ signals) and advanced manufacturing technologies (sequential lamination, HDI, ultra-low-loss materials).
  • •Hands-on signal integrity and power integrity knowledge, including impedance/PDN concepts, differential routing, insertion loss, S-parameters, TDRs, and VNA tools.
  • •Ability to take hardware from concept through production, including lab bring-up, debugging, and working with contract manufacturers for DFM and manufacturing readiness.
