  • •Serve as a rotating equipment subject matter expert for the La Porte Complex.
  • •Diagnose issues and drive improvements through inspection, documentation, repair, and start-up of plant machinery.
  • •Perform root-cause analysis and create corrective action plans for poor-performing equipment and systems.
  • •Mentor technicians and develop/deliver technical training and procedures to support Operational Excellence.
  • •Support reliability improvement initiatives, quality assurance of shop/field work, machinery planning/backlog review, SAP repair BOM/material setup, and shutdowns/turnarounds.

Key Requirements

  • •High school diploma or GED (formal training program preferred such as Millwright, Industrial mechanic, or Aviation Mechanic).
  • •Minimum 10 years of rotating equipment experience in refining or petrochemical industries.
  • •Strong knowledge of pumps, compressors, and turbines and applicable codes/standards.
  • •Strong troubleshooting and decision-making skills to identify and implement corrective actions.
  • •Strong computer skills in SAP and Microsoft Word/Excel, with communication and leadership skills across organizational levels.
