Key Responsibilities

  • •Develop and execute the site EHS strategy, objectives, annual plans, and improvement roadmap aligned with business priorities, legislation, and international standards (ISO 45001/ISO 14001).
  • •Provide strategic and operational EHS leadership, advising site leadership and driving a proactive, prevention-focused EHS culture across site functions.
  • •Lead site risk management by identifying, assessing, and controlling occupational, environmental, and process-safety risks; apply methods such as task risk assessments, HAZID, and HAZOP as applicable.
  • •Own critical safety programs and systems including Permit to Work, Lockout/Tagout, electrical/machine safety, hot work, working at height, confined-space entry, lifting operations, contractor safety, and excavation.
  • •Drive compliance and assurance through EHS legal/regulatory compliance frameworks, inspections, internal audits, incident investigations, CAPA implementation, and support for regulatory inspections.

Key Requirements

  • •Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Environmental Science, Occupational Health & Safety, Chemistry or a related scientific/technical discipline.
  • •Professional EHS qualification such as NEBOSH Diploma/International Diploma, CMIOSH, CSP or equivalent (strongly preferred).
  • •ISO 45001 and/or ISO 14001 Lead Auditor or equivalent management-system qualification (advantage).
  • •Minimum 10 years progressive EHS experience, preferably in pharmaceutical/biotechnology/chemical regulated manufacturing.
  • •At least 5 years in EHS leadership/senior-management capacity for a complex manufacturing site or multi-building operation.
