Job Summary

Program and operate CNC mills and lathes to machine high-precision, quick-turn and recurring production parts. Work from blueprints, drawings, and models to run toolpaths from G-code, including setup, proof-out, and machining raw stock and weldments. Improve efficiency and quality by partnering with engineers and designers on early process reviews and feedback while enforcing safety and shop procedures.

•Program and machine high-precision quick-turn projects and recurring production jobs with attention to detail.
•Machine raw stock, weldments, and modify existing components.
•Complete machining operations from blueprints, drawings, verbal instructions, and models.
•Set up, operate, and prove-out CNC programs on equipment including Proto Trak CNC mill/lathe and manual mill/lathe.
•Interface with engineers and designers to drive efficiency and improve quality while enforcing SpaceX safety processes and procedures.

Key Requirements

•High school diploma or equivalency certificate.
•3+ years of professional experience running CNC mills or lathes.

•Basic knowledge of cutting tools, speeds, feeds, and work holding/fixturing for quality, repeatable parts.
