Job Summary

Maintain, troubleshoot, and optimize System Level Test (SLT) test systems used to validate next-generation AMD silicon. In a hands-on hardware lab in Austin, you’ll support SLT equipment setup and operation, execute software/firmware/BIOS updates, diagnose test failures and circuit board issues, and perform preventive maintenance and component-level repairs. Partner with engineers and operations to keep lab equipment reliable and efficient on a rotational night shift.

Key Responsibilities

•Support System Level Test (SLT) equipment setup and operation for silicon validation activities.
•Perform software, firmware, and BIOS updates on test systems.
•Troubleshoot test failures and electronic circuit boards/hardware-related issues.
•Execute tester validation and preventive maintenance to maximize equipment uptime.
•Perform component-level repairs and soldering, and support troubleshooting using diagnostic tools (e.g., multimeters).

Key Requirements

•Hands-on experience with test equipment installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting.
•Experience using multimeters and performing basic electronic diagnostics; soldering experience preferred.
•Knowledge of computer hardware, including servers, memory, storage, and system assembly.
•Basic Linux operating system and command-line experience.
•Associate degree, technical diploma, or relevant military technical training (or equivalent) in Electronics/Electrical/Mechanical/Manufacturing Technology.
