Key Responsibilities

  • •Identify, scope, and solve complex platform problems across multiple teams, including teams not yet fully defined.
  • •Drive initiatives from design docs through adoption across the organisation, defining standards, tools, and practices.
  • •Architect scalable infrastructure and build self-service platforms and CLIs to reduce dependency on platform teams.
  • •Set and own the observability standard for the platform (monitoring, alerting, health visibility, metrics/logs/events/traces).
  • •Mentor engineers through code review and design feedback, collaborate with engineering teams, and participate in on-call for critical platform services.

Key Requirements

  • •Staff-level experience in Platform Engineering with strong programming skills in Python and Go; Java or TypeScript is a plus.
  • •Proven ability to lead complex, cross-team platform initiatives end-to-end, setting direction others build on.
  • •Experience supporting large engineering organizations (1,000+ engineers).
  • •Deep experience with AWS and Kubernetes across workload depth (autoscaling, pod lifecycle, scheduling, and configuration).
  • •Hands-on experience with CI/CD pipelines and monorepo build tools (e.g., Jenkins/GitLab CI/Buildkite, Bazel/Gradle) plus observability and infrastructure-as-code (Terraform, Pulumi, or CloudFormation).
