Job Summary

Lead risk-based supervision of a portfolio of banks and other financial institutions for the FSRA within the Supervision Department. Develop and enhance supervisory frameworks, create supervisory plans and strategies for assigned firms, and execute supervisory reviews using tools like onsite and third-party reviews and information requests. Assess risks, review reports, track remediation progress, and take prompt action on deficiencies while building stakeholder relationships and contributing to regulatory enhancements.

Key Responsibilities

•Supervise financial institutions within the FSRA risk-based supervisory plan and execute the supervisory approach.
•Develop supervisory plans/strategies for assigned firms to mitigate supervisory concerns and conduct periodic risk assessments.
•Use supervisory tools such as onsite reviews, third-party reviews, and information requests to support supervisory reviews.
•Review periodic reports/returns, deliver implementation controls/progress reports, and take prompt action on deficiencies and non-compliances.
•Assist in enhancing supervisory procedures and the regulatory framework, and participate in or lead delegated projects.

Key Requirements

•Minimum 8 years of experience working in banking supervision or related roles.
•Strong knowledge of banking sector regulations, products, services, and market practices.
•Experience assessing risks to identify trends and concerns and determine appropriate remedial action and future regulatory requirements.
•Well-developed written and oral communications, with strong internal and external stakeholder management.
•Fluent in business English; proficiency in Arabic is desirable.
