Job Summary

Principal Environmental Consultant with a strong technical background in water quality and environmental disciplines, leading multi-disciplinary teams on UK water sector projects from bid through delivery. You’ll manage complex technical elements, develop proposals, and build client relationships while ensuring regulatory compliance and high-quality service across lifecycle of water and wastewater schemes.

Key Responsibilities

•Lead and oversee delivery of water and environmental projects, coordinating multi-disciplinary teams and managing sizeable technical elements from inception through close-out.
•Communicate effectively with clients and stakeholders, ensuring high-quality technical delivery and regulatory compliance.
•Develop proposals, bids, and win work, while growing the service offering and managing project risks.
•Manage resources and workloads, ensuring project milestones are met within budget.
•Travel to offices and sites as required and mentor/develop staff within the team.

Key Requirements

•Significant understanding and experience in one or more of hydrology, hydro-ecology and freshwater catchment science related disciplines; strong technical background in water resources, water quality and related environmental topics.
•Excellent understanding of the UK water industry and its regulation.
•Ability to lead specialist project delivery and sizeable technical elements of work.
•Strong technical management/direction skills to ensure a high level of service.
•Experience in helping to develop proposals and win work.
