Job Summary

Own end-to-end analytics deliverables for the Analytics & Insights team by translating business needs into scalable, well-modeled data solutions. Integrate and analyze data from multiple datasets, write and optimize complex SQL and reporting tables, and strengthen the analytics semantic layer with clear metric definitions and business logic. Partner with Finance, Music Ops, and Acquisitions while applying software engineering best practices, including code reviews, testing, and continuous integration.

Key Responsibilities

•Partner with Finance, Music Ops, Acquisitions, and other stakeholders to understand reporting needs, data gaps, and analytical requirements.
•Collaborate with internal data teams to translate business questions into scalable, well-modeled analytics-ready data solutions.
•Develop, optimize, and maintain complex SQL queries and reporting tables, including recommending improvements to SQL data models.
•Analyze and integrate data from disparate datasets to develop reporting tables and generate meaningful insights.
•Apply analytics software engineering best practices (e.g., version control, testing, continuous integration), participate in code reviews, optimize SQL performance (including Sigma-specific optimization), and maintain data documentation and definitions.

Pay and Benefits

Salary: CAD 110,000 - 130,000 annually

Key Requirements

•5+ years of experience in an analytics domain as an analyst, data engineer, data/decision scientist, or equivalent.
•Strong proficiency in SQL and experience building and owning analytics semantic layers (metric definitions, data models, business logic).
•Ability to navigate ambiguous requirements, analyze and integrate datasets, and build targeted reporting tables.
•Experience developing, optimizing, and maintaining complex SQL queries and reporting tables.
•Bachelor’s degree (master’s degree a plus) and strong communication/collaboration skills; experience with dashboarding tools (Sigma) is a plus.
