Key Responsibilities

  • •Promote zero-harm safety culture and ensure compliance with Anglo American SHE policies, standards, procedures, and legal requirements.
  • •Develop and translate global/regional/BU supply chain strategies into operational plans, priorities, targets, and resource requirements; integrate with demand planning, forecasting, procurement, and commercial planning.
  • •Own end-to-end supply chain operational performance at asset level; lead supply chain excellence, operating model, and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • •Define and execute strategies for materials planning, inventory, warehousing, and logistics; optimize inventory levels, ensure warehouse inventory accuracy/security/availability, and drive OTIF performance.
  • •Provide commercial and technical input into sourcing strategies, supplier evaluations, and contracts; manage related operational budgets and foster supplier partnership and supplier relationship management.

Key Requirements

  • •Postgraduate qualification equivalent in Supply Chain Management, Procurement, or a relevant discipline on NQF8.
  • •SA Driver’s Licence.
  • •8–10 years of experience with comprehensive end-to-end Supply Chain Management, including sourcing, procurement, materials planning, inventory, warehousing, and logistics.
  • •Advanced knowledge of inventory optimisation, demand forecasting, materials planning, and working capital management.
  • •Knowledge of Supply Chain systems/digitalisation and analytics, including SAP, Oracle, and other SCM technologies, plus safety, governance, risk, and compliance requirements.
