Job Summary

Execute electrical and instrumentation (E&I) project work across Albemarle’s US Energy Storage capital portfolio—from design support through construction, commissioning, and handover. Based in Kings Mountain, NC and supporting Silver Peak, NV as needed, you’ll develop construction-ready deliverables, specify instrumentation and electrical equipment, oversee contractor installation and verification, and coordinate loop checks, system testing, and safe startup while ensuring compliance with OSHA and applicable electrical codes.

Key Responsibilities

•Support delivery of E&I scope across capital projects from design through construction, commissioning, and handover.
•Provide field leadership during construction, including contractor oversight, work coordination, and installation verification.
•Develop construction work packages (e.g., location/routing drawings, installation/termination details, instrument indexes, loop diagrams, I/O lists) to support contractor execution.
•Support E&I design development and coordinate P&IDs, control strategies, and system designs with engineering.
•Lead or support installation, checkout, commissioning, loop checks, system testing, startup troubleshooting, and turnover documentation/punch list closure.

Key Requirements

•10-20+ years of experience in industrial plant environments with hands-on E&I responsibilities.
•Strong background in instrumentation installation, electrical systems, and process control environments.
•Experience supporting capital projects, maintenance projects, or construction activities.
•Ability to read and interpret P&IDs, electrical drawings, and control system documentation.
•Technical training, an associate degree, or equivalent practical experience in Electrical, Instrumentation, or a related field.
