Job Summary

Provide practical, risk-based legal advice to Diageo’s ANZ Supply and Procurement teams, supporting manufacturing, supply chain, and operational decisions across Australia and New Zealand. Draft, review, and negotiate commercial agreements (including procurement, logistics, warehousing, and contract manufacturing), advise on consumer law and product safety/regulatory requirements, and manage supplier/vendor contracting and disputes. Work with a small, agile ANZ legal team and the broader global legal network.

Key Responsibilities

•Partner with ANZ Supply and Procurement teams to deliver legal advice across manufacturing, supply chain, and operational matters.
•Draft, review, and negotiate commercial agreements including procurement, logistics, warehousing, contract manufacturing, and supply agreements.
•Advise on legal and regulatory issues impacting manufacturing and supply operations (consumer law, product safety, food standards, labelling, environmental obligations, recalls).
•Support supplier and vendor matters end-to-end, including onboarding, contract approvals, dispute management, and remediation where required.
•Drive continuous improvement in the legal function by enhancing templates, playbooks, training materials, and contract lifecycle processes.

Key Requirements

•Qualified lawyer with a current practising certificate in NSW and 3–5 years’ post-qualification experience.
•Strong experience drafting, reviewing, and negotiating commercial contracts, with exposure to supply/procurement/logistics/manufacturing agreements highly regarded.
•Commercially astute and able to provide pragmatic, solution-focused legal advice in a fast-paced operational environment.
•Strong stakeholder management skills, partnering effectively with senior business leaders and cross-functional teams.
