Key Responsibilities

  • •Own electrical architecture for imaging payloads, partitioning system electronics and driving COTS vs. rad-hard and performance vs. schedule vs. cost tradeoffs.
  • •Lead design, layout, bring-up, and qualification of mixed-signal PCBAs for EO/IR sensor systems.
  • •Translate sensor/system performance models into electrical requirements and challenge non-critical requirements.
  • •Drive rapid prototype-to-flight-ready design-build-test cycles, including bench characterization and iteration on real hardware.
  • •Design for the space environment (radiation/thermal/vacuum/vibration/launch loads) and lead integration testing, troubleshooting, and environmental analyses.

Key Requirements

  • •8+ years of electrical engineering experience across system-level architecture, electronics design, and hands-on test, owning designs end to end.
  • •Degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
  • •Ownership of electronics architecture for complex electromechanical or sensor systems, including tradeoff decisions shaping the design.
  • •Strong analog, digital, mixed-signal, and power electronics design experience with deep schematic capture and PCB layout proficiency.
  • •Ability to take hardware from architecture through bring-up, integration, and qualification with hands-on lab debug; must be eligible to obtain and maintain an active U.S. Secret security clearance.
