Key Responsibilities

  • •Develop detailed piece price and tooling cost estimates using engineering BoM, drawings, CAD models, costing systems, and physical parts.
  • •Perform or support teardown of complex automotive components to analyze parts and develop Bills of Materials (BoM).
  • •Support value analysis and value engineering to identify cost-saving opportunities in designs and manufacturing processes.
  • •Partner with Global Supply Managers to evaluate supplier pricing and cost structures, assess variances, and identify negotiation and cost-reduction opportunities.
  • •Partner with engineering teams to apply cost estimates and models to evaluate design choices and ensure alignment with budget and target cost objectives.

Key Requirements

  • •Minimum 5+ years of experience in cost estimation, modeling, procurement, or engineering disciplines.
  • •Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Systems Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Supply Chain, Business Administration, or Finance.
  • •Ability to create cost estimates using engineering data, manufacturing process knowledge, and supplier quotations.
  • •Strong mechanical and manufacturing process expertise (e.g., machining, stamping, injection molding, casting, forging).
  • •Proficiency interpreting CAD models and engineering design drawings to extract cost-relevant information for accurate estimation.
