Key Responsibilities

  • •Lead structural dynamics projects of aircraft wheels and brakes, ensuring analytical assessment, dynamic testing, and final documentation for internal and external customers.
  • •Create and validate structural dynamics models (modal analysis, stability assessment, transient analysis) using CAE tools such as ANSYS Mechanical, LS-DYNA, and others.
  • •Define dynamics-related dynamometer test programs for development and qualification, and oversee instrumentation, data acquisition, and data analysis.
  • •Update and validate finite element models by correlating with test data and provide design recommendations to improve dynamic response.
  • •Travel up to 10% domestically and internationally; mentor junior engineers; review work packages for technical quality.

Key Requirements

  • •Minimum 8 years of relevant experience in Structural Dynamics, NVH, or Friction Induced Vibration (or an Advanced Degree with 5+ years)
  • •5+ years of experience with Structural Dynamics, NVH, and/or Friction Induced Vibration product development
  • •Experience with dynamics modeling and simulations using LS-DYNA, Abaqus Explicit, or similar
  • •Experience in test instrumentation, data acquisition, signal processing, and model validation for dynamics testing
  • •Programming/scripting in MATLAB and Python
