Key Responsibilities

  • •Oversee design, monitoring, and ongoing appropriateness of remuneration frameworks (excluding Management Board) and ensure compliance with EU/UK regulatory requirements.
  • •Produce the Annual Remuneration Control Report and support regulatory disclosures, including benchmarking and high earners reporting.
  • •Support variable pay frameworks and MRT identification; validate MRT remuneration structures and perform controls including governance reviews.
  • •Manage regulatory HR operations for Jefferies Europe entities, including SMF & Certified Person R&Rs, onboarding regulatory aspects, reference requests, and fit & proper attestations/recertifications/rescreening.
  • •Prepare and contribute to governance and reporting packs, track KRIs and audit requirements, lead HR regulatory process improvements, and resolve day-to-day audit findings.

Key Requirements

  • •Hands-on regulatory knowledge for BaFin-regulated investment firms and related frameworks (WpIG, WplVergV, IFD/IFR, EBA sound remuneration guidance).
  • •Expertise in MRT (Material Risk Taker/Risikoträger) identification, including quantitative/qualitative criteria interpretation and annual MRT identification exercises.
  • •Ability to draft MRT notifications and governance papers, challenge business rationales for removals/additions, and support remuneration committee decision-making.
  • •Regulatory reporting and regulatory affairs experience, including BaFin submissions, regulatory change management, horizon scanning, and interpreting new regulations.
  • •Experience with remuneration governance across management board/control functions, including governance requirements for management boards and control functions; deferral/instrument awards and malus/clawback considerations.
