Key Responsibilities

  • •Provide leadership and direction for a growing geotechnical practice.
  • •Develop and retain a client base and collaborate across business lines to support opportunities and projects.
  • •Apply high-level geotechnical engineering techniques across project phases, including concept, preliminary/final design, procurement, construction, and operations.
  • •Lead larger-scale geotechnical engineering projects, overseeing budgets, performance, subcontractors, contract work, and employees.
  • •Oversee technical deliverables such as reports and presentations, and support engineering review of permit applications, design plans/specifications, and construction observations/site visits.

Key Requirements

  • •Bachelor’s degree in Geotechnical Engineering or Civil Engineering with a geotechnical focus, or a closely related discipline.
  • •15+ years of post-education engineering experience in geotechnical design.
  • •Professional Engineering License in Arizona, or ability to become licensed in Arizona within 6 months.
  • •Proficiency in geotechnical engineering principles and design/build practices, including permitting and project-related issues.
  • •Experience planning and managing projects/programs including construction and mitigation efforts, plus strong knowledge of construction laws, codes, regulations, permitting, and compliance.
