Job Summary

Design and develop wired and wireless LAN/WLAN and related 5G features on the host side, working across the complete WLAN host stack. Apply deep Linux kernel and OS expertise (synchronization, threads, user-kernel separation, scheduler) to define products, assess root causes, and resolve issues. Collaborate with architecture specialists, use AI across design/development/debugging, and help deliver new AMD wireless technologies for next-generation platforms.

Key Responsibilities

•Understand WLAN VIFs, DMA, and firmware-host communication concepts.
•Design and develop wired/wireless LAN/WLAN and 5G features on the host side with deep understanding of the complete WLAN host stack.
•Apply OS and Linux kernel expertise to development, debugging, and issue resolution.
•Use AI effectively across design, development, test, documentation, and debugging tasks.
•Debug and fix existing issues; research alternative, more efficient approaches; collaborate with architecture specialists, peers, and partners.

Key Requirements

•5 to 12+ years of relevant industry experience with strong object-oriented programming; C/C++ preferred (Assembly language on different CPU cores is a plus).
•Deep understanding of OS concepts including synchronization, threads, user-kernel separation, and the scheduler.
•Ability to write high-quality code with close attention to detail.
•Knowledge of WiFi/BT/5G standards is a definite plus.
•Experience with Linux and/or Real Time Operating System development, plus modern concurrent programming and threading APIs.
